Back2Basics: Floodplain Administration Basic Responsibilities, Offering 1

This is the sixth topic of 2024 in the Back2Basics Series.  Each topic is covered twice, choose from either offering. This is the first offering, the second will spill over into January 2025. In this training learn basic need-to-know duties for local floodplain administrators (FPA), a job that directly affects your community’s safety. Explore essential details on permitting to your floodplain ordinance, reviewing development plans, inspecting new developments, and conducting post-disaster substantial damage assessments. Hear about some common issues you may encounter and learn about some resources to help you do your job.  
 
One hour of continuing education credit (CEC) is approved for this training through the Association of State Floodplain Managers for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs®).
 
The training is designed to be accessible to individuals with diverse needs. Relay Conference Captioning will be provided and streamed to users’ internet-connected computers.
